Fast and Easy Homemade Pizza

There is nothing better than homemade pizza. This is a fun dish to make with friends or family any time of the year.

Feel free to use white or whole wheat flour. Whole wheat flour has more fiber and nutrients than white flour, but it can make doughs a little dense. If you're looking for a more nostalgic and fluffy pizza crust, opt for white flour.

You can top with vegan cheese, or skip it and load it sky high with veggies instead.

Ingredients:

Pizza Dough
  • 1 tbsp yeast
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • 1/2 cup warm water
  • 1 cup whole wheat flour
  • 1 tbsp mixed dried herbs
  • Tomato sauce or pizza sauce

Instructions:

  1. Add the yeast, sugar, and warm water into a bowl. Mix and let sit for 10 minutes.
  2. Add the flour and stir until a dough forms. Cover bowl with kitchen cloth or towel and let rise for 1 hour.
  3. Preheat your oven to 400 F.
  4. Transfer dough onto a floured surface. Either roll the dough or spread it with your hands until it forms a circle, leaving it about 1/4-1/2 an inch thick. If the dough gets too sticky, flour your hands and continue to work the dough into a circle.
  5. Transfer dough to a lightly floured, parchment-covered, baking tray. Then, add sauce and toppings of choice.
  6. Bake pizza for 20 minutes or until the crust is golden brown.
