5 Minute Homemade Jam

This jam comes together so quickly it’s almost wrong to call it a recipe. I’ve been adding it to everything. Put it on peanut butter toast, mix it into oatmeal, spread onto pancakes.. or spoon it into your mouth… :)

Homemade Jam

Ingredients

  • 2 cups of frozen berries
  • 1 tbsp chia seeds
  • 1 tbsp maple syrup (or more if you like a sweeter jam)
  • 1 tsp vanilla

Instructions

  1. Add the frozen berries into a pot over medium-low heat. Allow them to defrost and break down for about 5 minutes, stirring often.
  2. Once the berries have released some juices, add the chia seeds, maple syrup and vanilla. Continue to stir for another 5 minutes.
  3. When the berries have become a jam-like consistency, give them a quick mash with a fork or potato masher. Then, turn off the heat and let them cool for 10 minutes before transferring into a glass.
  4. Store your jam in the fridge to set, or use hot over some pancakes!
